We had a "controversial" warm up question at the Fort today.  It brought a lot of laughs and loaded comments.  I thought of blogging about it so you too can add your two cents worth!

Question:  The Thing I don't understand about the opposite sex is...

Here are some answers that came up:
from women:

The thing I don't understand about the opposite sex is ...
1)      ...where are they?!?  haha
2)      ...how they can easily walk away.   (loaded!)
3)      ...how they can be so clueless.

from men:
The thing I don't understand about the opposite sex is...
1)      ...why they say one thing but mean another  (aray)
2)      ...why they expect me to read their minds.  (we forget about #3)

So send your comments.
And let's see what men and women really think!

My favorite movie, ever is, "What Women Want". I love it for two reasons. One, it is a movie about advertising. The second, because it reminds me that the only superpower I wish to possess is being able to audibly hear my wife's thoughts. :-)

The thing I don't understand about the opposite sex is... "Why do they say they will be done in 5 minutes but actually take an hour.." <--- (hmmm... interesting) and of course the "going to the bathroom in groups thing" came up as well... =p

I don't try to understand what I don't understand - There are days I just don't understand. Fights about misunderstanding and sometimes she doesnt understand me. We often fall in this trap of wanting to be understood. But we as leaders of our home are called to understand and not just withstand. At the end of the misunderstandings, I just try to understand my wife.

Seeking to understand is the key to being happy and staying happy in marriage.

Understand?

maybe that's how it really is supposed to be, or how we really were made to function. like puzzled pieces, the two connect by being different. had men and women been the same, it would probably a 2-sided puzzle-- no challenge, no unpredictability, no surprises, in short, HO-HUM! but, being all too different makes living with the opposite sex something to look forward to, the daily learning of what makes her tick, what ticks her off. all part of the school of life.

Hi Issay! Actually the warm up had nothing to do with the topic. But it sure warmed us up! haha
Come and join. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Tongue twister (translated) for you: Do you understand or don't you understand? I don't understand because you don't say "you understand" if you understand or "you don't understand" if you don't understand. Understand?

I agree! The best way to end a 7 day fast is a hot yummy bowl of Japanese udon and salmon sashimi!

...why they seem to have periodic amnesia attacks specially when they promise not to get back again on drivers who would intentionally or unintentionally cut them on the road.
